SAP ABAP Interview Questions on Transportation Requests
Q. What is the difference between customizing request and work bench request?
A. Customizing request is created by Functional consultants with respect to SPRO settings and config and workbench request is created by ABAP people for the developments they do for SAP projects.
Q. How do you release change requests in your module and how often do you release them?
A. We release them to Quality client frequently depending on the test data available but all are released only once to PRD before go live of the SAP project.
Q. How do you create tasks? What is the max number of tasks you created in your previous projects?
A. By default when you create a request a task is assigned under request and your object goes into task only.
There is no such limit for the tasks, You can create any number of tasks but generally different users create different tasks under the same request.
Q. What is the difference between task and change request? Is it possible to release a change request without releasing a task?
A. You can't release a Request without releasing a Task.
Q. Does functional module level configuration come under workbench request or customizing request?
A. Under Customizing request.
Q. What is the landscape you are following in your current SAP Project? In which one do you prefer to test functional module level changes?
A. 2 System landscape.
DEV and QULITY in one box and PRD in another box.
Q. how will u transport from quality sever to production server ?
A. We don't transport from quality to PRD.
All the requests will be generated from on DEV CLIENT only
We use the same requests to transport to QUALITY and PRD.
But not from Quality to PRD.
We transport requests from DEV to QUALITY and DEV to PRD only.
